Jamb & O’Level Requirements to study English In Nigeria

The jamb and O’Level requirements to study English are listed below;

  • You must have at least five (5) credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Literature in English and any other two (2) social science or arts subjects in your O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, GCE or equivalent).
  • You must obtain the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) form and choose the institution you want to attend. You must score at least 200 in the UTME and choose the correct subjects in the exam which are: English Language, Literature in English, and any two (2) other subjects in the social sciences or arts.
  • If you are applying for Law through Direct Entry, you will need to have at least two (2) A Level passes in relevant subjects such as Law, History, Literature in English, Government, and any other social science or arts subject.
