There were rumors of a projected increase in school fees, as most schools expected; however, the management has finally approved the increase in UNIBEN school fees for both new and returning students for the 2023/2024 academic session, so both new and returning students should be aware of the changes.

UNIBEN ACCEPTANCE FEE FOR NEW STUDENTS FOR THE 2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION

Acceptance fee is the first payment to be made by the new students to show they have accepted the admission before proceeding to pay for the school fees. Uniben acceptance fee is a sum of twenty thousand naira #60,000 for both science and non-science students while it is #90,000 for medical students for the 2023/2024 academic session.

Please note that the UNIBEN acceptance fee is 60,000 Naira for all new students, regardless of faculty, well, except for the medical students, and must be paid before any other payment is made. The acceptance fee just signifies the student’s acceptance of JAMB’s provisional admission.

UNIBEN SCHOOL FEES SCHEDULE FOR FRESHERS AND RETURNING STUDENTS FOR THE 2023/2024 ACADEMIC SESSION

All new students are advised to pay their tuition/school fees for the 2023/2024 academic session early to the designated banks as approved by the school management.

BREAKDOWN OF UNIBEN SCHOOL FEES FOR SCIENCES AND NON-SCIENCE

The University of Benin’s administration has increased the UNIBEN school fees by a small amount. Please take note of the changes as you go through the breakdown below. 

UNIBEN SCHOOL FEES BREAKDOWN FOR COLLEGE OF MEDICINE

The acceptance fee for new students to the College of Medicine has been raised from N70,000 to N73,400 (School fees) + while the acceptance fee has been raised to N90,000. As a result, UNIBEN’s new medical school fees are: N73,400 (tuition fee) + N90,000 (acceptance fee) = 163,400 each session (Total fee payable by fresh students)

UNIBEN SCHOOL FEES BREAKDOWN FOR NEW SCIENCE STUDENTS

The acceptance fee for new students in the Faculty of Sciences and other science-related departments has been raised from N60,000 to N73,400. As a result, the UNIBEN school fees for Sciences (new students) for the academic session 2021/2022 are as follows:

All new science students must pay a total of 73,400 Naira (new school fees) plus 60,000 Naira (admission fee) per session.

UNIBEN SCHOOL FEES BREAKDOWN FOR FRESHERS (NON SCIENCES)

UNIBEN School Fees for new non-science students in the faculty of Management and Social Sciences, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Education, and all other non-science related faculties have been hiked to 69,900 Naira per session.

The acceptance fee of N60,000 remains unchanged. Finally, for the academic year 2021/2022, the UNIBEN school fees for non-sciences are as follows:

Every session, 69,900 Naira (new school fees) plus 60,000 Naira (acceptance fee) equals 129,900 Naira for all new non-science students.
