If the wavelength of a wave travelling with a velocity of 360 m/s is 60m, the period of the wave is A. 6s B. 3.6s C. 0.17s D. 0.61s E. 3s 

ANSWER: Option C

EXPLANATION: the equation to use for this question is;

v = λ/T

Where;

v – velocity of the wave

T – period of the wave

λ – wavelength of the wave

Remember that, T = 1/F; i.e period is the inverse of Frequency, in case you come across another question which you are asked to find Frequency.

So, to solve this question, substitute each value and solve for T.
