Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Akwa Ibom School of Nursing for the Basic Nursing/Midwifery program for the 2023/2024 academic session.

• Only candidates who have their WAEC, NECO, or GCE with at least FIVE credits passes including English Language, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at not more than two sittings are eligible to apply. NABTEB results can’t be combined with any other.
• This School offers a three (3) years Basic General Nursing training to suitable candidates of not less than 16 years.

How To Apply For Akwa Ibom State School of Nursing Admission Form 2023/2024

Registration commences from Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:30 am – 3:00 pm daily except for public holidays and weekends at the Nursing Services Directorate, Ministry of Health headquarters, Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat, Uyo.

Requirements for registration

• Three recent coloured passport photographs.
• Original and two photocopies each of the following;
  • Educational certificate – FLSC, WASSCE, GCE, NECO OR NABTEB
  • Birth certificate or age declaration
  • Certificate of local government of origin
  • Change of name (if applicable)

NOTE:

• Applicants must have a functional phone number.
• Pregnant candidates and candidates below the age of 16 years are advised not to obtain the form.

Entrance Examination and Interview

Candidates who satisfy the basic entry requirements shall be required to sit for an entrance examination and selection interview thereafter. Only candidates who pass the examination are shortlisted to appear for the selection interview. The Selection process will include essay writing followed by an oral interview. Candidates selected for admission shall be required to pass a medical examination of fitness.
