Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Abia state university teaching hospital School of nursing for the Basic Nursing/Midwifery program for the 2023/2024 academic session.

• Only candidates who have their WAEC, NECO, or GCE with at least FIVE credits passes including English Language, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at not more than two sittings are eligible to apply. 
• This School offers a three (3) years Basic General Nursing training to suitable candidates of not less than 17 years.

The Abia State University Teaching Hospital, Aba, hereby informs all interested applicants to visit the school premises in order to participate in the 2023/2024 screening exercise. 

Forms are obtainable from the office of the Principal, ABSUTH, Aba, on payment of Ten thousand naira (N10,000.00) into the *School of Midwifery, ABSUTH, Aba First Bank of Nigeria* (FBN) account.

Note that forms obtained online or elsewhere apart from the office of the Principal, School of Midwifery, ABSUTH,Aba, will not be entertained

Requirements for purchase of form

• Two passport photographs

• Photocopy of O’Level result

• Ten thousand Naira (10,000)

NOTE:

• Applicants must have a functional phone number. 
• Pregnant candidates and candidates below the age of 17½ [seventeen and a half] years are advised not to obtain the form.

Entrance Examination and Interview

Candidates who satisfy the basic entry requirements shall be required to sit for an entrance examination and selection interview thereafter. Only candidates who pass the examination are shortlisted to appear for the selection interview. The Selection process will include essay writing followed by an oral interview. Candidates selected for admission shall be required to pass a medical examination of fitness.
