The University of Nigeria, UNN, is a federal university in Enugu State, located in Nsukka, Nigeria. The University of Nigeria UNN was founded by Nnamdi Azikiwe in 1955 and formally opened on October 7, 1960. It has three campuses in Enugu State – Nsukka, Enugu, and Ituku-Ozalla – as well as an Aba campus in Abia State.

The University of Nigeria,UNN, modeled after the American educational system, is Nigeria’s first full-fledged indigenous and autonomous university. It is Africa’s first land-grant institution and one of the country’s top five universities. There are 15 faculties and 102 academic departments within the university. There are 108 undergraduate programs and 211 postgraduate programs available at the university.
